Do students carry text books to classes?
Not usually, unless the student takes
notes in note books, or plans on staying after class to study.
Are we offered class notes from teachers, or should we take our own
notes?
Most teachers make their notes available
through the internet or pen drive (accessible through PC). Teachers are instructed to post all notes online for students to
access from any computer - anywhere. Most companies are equipped with wireless
routers during classes. This enables students with laptops, and wireless
access, to download the day’s notes prior to lecture in the convenience of
their work. Teachers also submit their notes, or Power Point slides, on our
Website or on YouTube for print and student pick-up.
Are professors available for extra help, if needed?
Yes, all teachers have designated
office hours when they are available to answer questions. Teachers are also
willing to set up additional appointments with students as necessary.
Are there places I can go to print a document?
Yes, but several students decide to
use their printer. Printers can be purchased for about $100. This tends to be
more expensive. Alternatively, you can print your documents from your company -
as long as the material being printed
does not violate any copyright laws.
Are there places to fax/copy a document?
Yes, you can make copies at the school
library, or at your company. You can fax or email documents, as well.
Can students purchase snacks/food from school?
Yes, snacks are available in the nearby
cafeteria. The cafeteria serves meals daily from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Other local
restaurants are open from 7:30 a.m.– 7:00 p.m. (until 4:30 p.m. on Saturday).
Do we need to buy a computer to bring it with us?
Computers will be provided for by
your teacher, when indicated. Most personal coaching work is done via digital
images, internet, pen drives and CD-ROMs.
Do we need internet, laptops, etc.?
Yes, you will need an internet
connection and a computer most of the time. Both may be provided by your company,
or locally. Some students prefer to bring their laptops to class because it
allows them to access our online material. Other students choose to use their
teacher’s material and laptop. You are required to have a internet connection at home for study before or after class.
Where do new students purchase 1st semester text books?
First semester books can be ordered
through MEGA ENGLISH, or can be ordered online (via your teacher or vendor of
your choice) and delivered to you by your teacher.
Where can students study after/before school?
Students can study in a number of
places. They may choose to study in one of the company rooms, or in the cafeteria,
library or in the privacy of their home. Libraries and meeting rooms are both used for quiet study,
while the cafeteria is for group study.
What are the library and computer room hours?
Both the library and computer lab are
open from 8:00 a.m. until 16:00 p.m.
